Cpl Leigh Twist receiving her certificate of commendation from Comd JHC at a recent medal ceremony at MOD Stafford. The award, from Maj Gen A R D Shirreff (GOC (MND SE)), was made in recognition of her efforts in successfully extinguishing a fire when a fuel line was hit during a mortar attack at Al-Almarah where Cpl Twist was the TSW site commander.  At the same time she co-ordinated the move of her equipment to set up another refuel site to refuel the incoming IRT helicopter from Basrah.    Picture: Photographic Section DCAE Cosford.

Personnel from Tactical Supply Wing have been honing their helicopter abseiling and insertion skills with a Puma from 230 Sqn, RAF Aldergrove.  In addition to the training for Ops Sqn personnel, the opportunity was opened to other TSW personnel to develop their abseiling skills.  These photographs show the TSW Chief Clerk, Sgt G Malam and MTD SAC M Heptinstall preparing to abseil from 120 ft.    Pictures by SAC Ben Tritta - Photographic Section DCAE Cosford.
